Silver and Essence
May. 8th, 2026 02:12 pmThere is no fanfare, no flash of scintillating light or a thunderclap of displaced air. The magic that deposits Blade on the floor of a library in Svet-Dmitrin is more subtle than that -- but it was written to transport a human, not an e-droid. Bewildered, Blade remains sitting cross-legged on the floor, staring around himself like he's never seen people or books before.
The rock crystal on his chest pulses slowly and his hair is white with black streaks, but otherwise he seems like a normal if deeply confused young man. The thick book in his hands is titled The Cities and People of Mir.. Blade traces the embossed letters for a moment with his fingertips before slowly flipping through the book. Books are for reading, right? And why would he have a book in his lap if he wasn't reading it? But he can't remember anything about the contents inside...he's not even sure what page he was on.
